Grisha chilling in the caging area
Thank you to the Eyes of Texas Cat Club, Inc for hosting this wonderful cat show!! We are so happy to have attended our first CFA show and we were made so welcome by everyone there. We had many questions and everyone we asked was eager to help us get the answers.
Grisha's 2nd show went very well and though we "over-groomed" him and he was too soft he still won his 6 winners ribbons to attain his Champion title in CFA! This is our first Champion cat, and of course our first CFA Champion. =)
We hope to get him to more and more shows and with less grooming (how funny!) he should do even better. He hasn't quite decided he likes being there yet but he was more laid back this time and even enjoyed himself on one of the judge's benches. He gave the cat scratcher a try and batted at some toys. =)
Thank you to eveyrone who put on or worked at the show and thank you to the kind judges and clerks who were patient with us newbies and even kind enough to give us a few tips here and there! We hope to attend many more CFA shows with Grisha and our other cats as well. Also a very special thanks goes to Maria and our friend Tonya. Maria for breeding such an amazing cat and for allowing us to have him!!! Tonya for helping us get ready for the show, giving us an excellent grooming protocol and encouraging me when I needed it to get his paperwork in order fast so we could go.
But most of all I'd like to thank my husband Doug who helped me into the wee hours of the night with grooming our cat, got covered in cat fur, soaps and water and still managed to laugh and enjoy himself. Thanks to the man who had no idea what he was getting into when he fell in love with a girl running a cattery. =) I love you, Mr. Doug!
GO GRISHA!!!

Our new male Grisha, from CICA cattery, is busy at work helping us get our Summer Litters!!
We have two lovely litters from him. One girl out of Dora is already 8 weeks old! Born on July 4th. She's a lovely and cuddly girl and a gorgeous smoke tortie too!
Peli's litter with Grisha is full of smoke and silver as well!
Our waiting list is filling up fast, don't hesitate and lose out. For information on getting a Pendraig Siberian visit our Purchase Info and Application Pages.
We weren't able to attend any shows since last year's SC Regional! It was great to be back at the shows and we took Gabriel with us. It was exhausting but he did well considering there wasn't anywhere for him to nap and he dislikes his stroller. =)
We exhibited both Grisha and Dica and they did well! We hope to continue showing them. Grisha was a bit nervous and by the end of day 2 was fed up!! Hopefully he will be ok with showing still. He is such a sweet and gentle boy at home. Dica didn't mind it and we hope we can continue to show her and hopefully get our first titles!
Here are some photos of Gabriel "helping out" with the show curtains! We have more photos of him at the show we will share if you email us. =)

Aslan and Julia were entered in the Regional show and did well considering Doug and I are still learning the ins and outs of showing and of proper grooming. The first day our cats needed more work so we made sure to do a much more thorough job cleaning and grooming them that night and went to the show bright and early, and very tired being up so long grooming the night before. They did much better the second day and even beat a couple of other Siberians in some of the rings.
As these two mature they will only improve in their show wins. Aslan was only 10 months old and not filled out yet as our lines mature slowly, which is natural and healthy for the breed. But it's hard to compare him to lines that mature very early. Time will tell.
Lily went along so she could get used to the show scene. It can be very noisy (especially with the Bengals!) and chaotic there. She enjoyed herself and even slept in my arms.
While we were there we met several breeders and exhibitors and had a great time. I was very pregnant, and would give birth 2 weeks later! I was exhausted but Doug and the wonderful people at the show made sure I was as comfortable as possible and it was a blast.
We also had the pleasure of meeting photographer Helmi Flick and she took some fantastic photos of Aslan and Julia. We plan to get the other cats photographed and updated photos of these two as well with this very talented artist.
Photos from the show coming soon!

Our precious foundation line, denoted by the surname SunFire, has produced another litter. Unfortunately due to complications this is also Sonja's last litter. We have some gorgeous kittens out of her. The gorgeous cream silver tabby, Aslan will be our future stud. Read more about him in our Pendraig Siberian Kings section.
