How to Adopt a Pendraig Siberian Cat or Kitten

We have a fast and easy process to get you started.

First - Let's get to know each other!

We appreciate your time and only request you email us and include the answer to these questions. Priority will be given to those who answer these helpful questions in full.

    2. Do you prefer a kitten or adult?
    3. Why do you want a Siberian Cat?
    4. Do you have allergies to cats?
    5. Are you available to visit with us in Austin? We can meet for coffee or at a cat show.
    6. Do you have any other pets?
    7. Do you have children, especially small children? Children are great, but we need to know to match you with the right kitten or cat
    8. Will you be picking your kitten up, requesting delivery or shipping?
    9. Do you have any questions for us?

Kittens are placed on a first come first serve basis. So get your email in to us today! You can also submit your Waiting List Fee of $50 while you wait. If we don't approve you we will cancel the transaction.

Then we spend some time getting to know you!

We either visit in person, or if you don't live near us we can talk by phone. This also gives you have an opportunity to ask us questions and get to know us, our cats and our cattery.

Once we both feel comfortable with one another you can sign up for our waiting list with a $50 deposit. This is a commitment fee that signifies your intention to get a kitten from us and secures your place in line. This fee will later be applied to the total cost of your kitten. This fee is non-refundable unless we cannot provide you with a kitten for some reason.

If you have a specific color, quality or type of kitten (or cat) that you want it is best to get on the list immediately. Those first on the list get first priority. Certain colors and qualities may be very rare and we can't guarantee everyone who wants one will get one. We also only accept a limited number of people on each upcoming litter's waiting list so booking early helps to insure you get the kitten you are want most.

After this the fast part of the process is over and we wait for mother nature to take her course. Because we are a cattery of quality we do not breed often and only after careful planning so please understand that if you buy from a quality cattery there will be a waiting period to bring your new family member home. But quality is worth waiting for!

Place a Deposit on the Kitten/Cat.

When the kitten/cat you want becomes available the next step is to put down a deposit. The minimum deposit is $500 or 50% of the purchase price, whichever is greater.

We can make no guarantees as to the availability of the cat or kitten you desire, or one that may be currently available. Please contact us for the most up to date information on availability and pricing. You can also refer to the Purchase Information Section for more detailed information on pricing, deposits and procedures. Available cats & kittens will be listed on our Available Siberians section.

Take Your New Family Member Home.

When your kitten is 14 - 16 weeks of age he/she should be old enough to go home. Full payment for your cat or kitten is due two weeks prior to the kitten leaving.

You can arrange, ahead of time, to pick up your kitten or arrange delivery or shipment with us.

Finally, Love Your Pendraig Siberian.

Love and adore your kitty for his/her lifetime and we'll help you make that life as great as possible with nutritional and healthcare advice, behavioral consultation and a great health guarantee (up to 12 years on the Ideal Care Plan) that includes guarantees specific to FIP, FIV, FeLV, HCM and other dangerous conditions. Please see our contract for specifics about health guarantees and policies.

Be sure to follow your contract carefully and to take your new family member to the veterinarian within 72 hours for a check-up so that your vet can verify the health of your new kitten.
